Photographer William Henry Jackson was the first to take a series of photographs of Yellowstone, which were used to advocate for the creation of the park.

This piece is an installation of the skies removed from the first photographs of Yellowstone National Park. The photographic technology meant that the skies were entirely white in each photograph. I have imagined a picturesque sky. Each sky is the exact size of the sky in the original print.

Installed at the Wiregrass Museum of Art.
