On trips to public lands, we were struck by how vehicles make nature accessible while keeping it at a distance. We converted a van and an airstream into a camera obscura, which allow the landscape to be projected upside down onto the interior of the van, examining how what we see is impacted by vehicles. A small selection of these photographs are shown here.

This collaboration with Meredith Laura Lynn was a part of our exhibition “Sight Lines” at the Wiregrass Museum of Art and was shown at University of Texas Permian Basin.
