Five Readers on the Road

Five different cassette players on a shelf. To the right are five copies of "On the Road"
Five copies of on the road lay flat, with a cassette player next to it.

Five Readers on the Road takes found copies of the oft assigned Kerouac book and creates a custom audiobook for each reader, including solely their underlined segments. As the five tape decks play the piece, they come in and out of sync, allowing the listener to see what students found important enough to highlight in the book.

Shown at ACRE projects, Michigan Technical University, and the SouthXeast exhibition at Florida Atlantic University.
