Rozsa Gallery “It’s Nothing Personal (Space)”

An installation in a gallery with white walls, concrete columns and concrete floors.
Two piles of rocks in the gallery, with patches on top of them.
Two maps slumping off the wall, with small video monitors next to them.
A closeup of a map with graphite drawing on top of it.

This exhibition explores our symbols of landscape, land use, and competing land interests in this exhibit. “It’s nothing personal (space)” touches on our private, personal, and public feelings about land. The exhibition includes fiber, audio, video, and drawings, and was inspired by a road trip to visit the Malheur Wildlife Refuge, which was the site of militia protests during the winter of 2016.

Installed in various ways at Michigan Technical University Rozsa Gallery and then reinstalled at the Beverly Sam Ross Gallery.
